Choir blog Nov 18th 2009
Hello everyone,
The most important thing I want to say to you all is how well you are singing at the moment. Our new members are fitting in really well and are so keen!
I am so pleased that we are now going to have a proper record in the archives of our choir membership, a special thankyou to Barbara for keeping our register up to date.
We now are practising hard for Christmas. (Please check the dates for your diary page) I think we have all enjoyed doing the secular music that we learned for weddings but we will come back to that when the wedding season comes around again and we will add to it. We also have the singing at Central station to look forward to too!
I run this website myself using my own webspace and though not all our choristers are able to access it it is a handy tool for communication. Another handy tool is my sky drive where I keep all the midi practice files for nearly everything we have learned. Yes, we even have members who practice..... it is actually quite fun to sing along with your part - and very helpful if there is a tricky bit that you just can't quite get right!
Here is the link for you - just click and let me know if it doesn't work!

If you are in browsing mood then here is a link to the choir that I accompany.

A very big thankyou to everyone who helped with the new booklets. They are not quite finished yet but it will enable us to separate out Christmas and wedding music from the general service music, once I get an index sorted!
Don't forget to check out the diary page and I will try to update each week from now till Christmas...did I actually say that!!
See you all soon.
Jan

I would like to thank all the members of your Choir who sang at my fathers (Albert Myers) funeral service on Thursday April 17th, 2008.
Their beautiful voices and nice organ music helped us through a very difficult time. I also feel sure that my Father would have liked the music.
Your efforts are greatly appreciated and there were many comments after the funeral about how good you all sounded.
Again many thanks | |

For those of you who may be interested in learning more about our choir I have added information about the service music we sing in the Easter season. Our settings change with each church season.

Keep checking the midi page and I will try and put some more music on it for you to practise! New midi files now available..........
See you Tuesday.
Best wishes Jan
